Tubes feeders are highly versatile. I like them because they (especially with a tray) can serve different types of birds that like to feed in different ways like perches or flat surfaces. They are also more aerodynamic thus better in windy areas. The wind tends to cut around them better so they do not sway as badly on deck arms and pole systems. They are available in three basic types: multi-seed, finch and mesh.
