Collection: Traditional Suet Cakes

The traditional, high-fat suets are “greasy” in nature and have a low melting points and are best used when the temperatures are below 75 degrees.

Suet is also available in several forms and flavors. The traditional square suet cakes are usually about 11 oz. and fit in a variety of feeders. Some varieties are also available in larger 56 oz. squares cakes which require a larger cage to hold them. A form that has gained a lot of popularity over the last several years are the suet “plugs”. While they can be used in square cages, they are usually used in suet log feeders. Newest on the market are suet cylinders that come with a hanger built in thus not requiring a feeder.
